The Salty Sea Inspiration was inspired by a Perfect Timing Boat Tours Trip. When you are visiting the Fort Lauderdale or Pompano Beach area and want to see some amazing sea life. I would highly recommend for a private boat or snorkeling trip. It was a wonderful experience for me and the inspiration for my Salty Sea stories. It’s the perfect outing for a fun family adventure together.
My Inspiration
When I took a trip with my family on this private snorkeling and fishing boat tour, we saw a stingray and a lot of fish. This made me start to think about the amazing world we have under the ocean. But then it troubled me when I saw some trash on the bottom of the ocean floor.
As I was thinking of all the dangerous situations that could be caused by this trash, our boat captain Dominick, dove down and retrieved the trash from the floor. I was so happy when I saw him collecting the garbage, it made my trip extra special. It made me feel as though we made a difference being out on the water that day. I realized how much it bothers others who are out on the water daily, for work or for play. Seeing how Dominick was trying to make a difference by cleaning up our environment. It made me realize how much we all need to work together, so we can enjoy this beautiful ocean and all of its amazing sea life. This is what drove my passion for telling others not to liter.
After my experience of being out on the water that day with Captain Dominick, the Salty Sea Series came to life and I started writing Jay the Stingray’s story. Jay the Salty Stingray’s book turned out to be an Ocean Conservation story for kids on water pollution. This salty stingray shares important topics on how pollution is affecting the marine life and its environment. As well as, why it is important to keep the ocean free of trash.

We need more people to care as much as we do, in hopes to help us protect our future and what we love so much. We want our children to be able to enjoy the ocean and waterway. Which we are so lucky to have in our very own backyards.
